One of Namibia’s best-protected areas, Namib-Naukluft National Park includes within its boundaries some of the country’s most stirring natural attractions. These include the sand dunes of Sossusvlei and the Naukluft Mountains and its hiking trails. Wildlife is scarce and can be elusive, but there’s a good chance you’ll see gemsbok, and there may be other surprises too.

Upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport, a pilot will welcome you and guide you to the aircraft for an estimated travel time of an hour to Sossusvlei.
Sossusvlei Lodge, positioned at the entrance to Namib Naukluft Park, unveils the remarkable desert panorama and its distinctive wildlife. The gate to Sesriem Canyon, a slender marvel cutting through the landscape, and the renowned Sossusvlei are within easy reach.
As the day concludes, go on a Sundowner Drive to witness the sun’s descent, casting a golden hue over the dunes and desert-adapted fauna.
The following morning, embark on an adventure within the Namib Desert, where you’ll take on giants like Dune 45 and Big Daddy Dune. Later, immerse yourself in the wonder of Sossusvlei and explore the haunting beauty of Deadvlei’s ancient trees.
Optional activities like a hot air balloon excursion, exploring the Sesriem Canyon, and 4×4 desert tours are recommended and can be arranged at an additional cost.

Swakopmund
Swakopmund is the kind of place that you can’t help but fall in love with. It’s a hugely attractive town, filled as it is by German colonial architecture, with everything from Lutheran churches and half-timbered houses to an imposing stone fortress. But Swakopmund’s architecture is just the start. Sand dunes surround the town, and the city is one of the adventure capitals of southern Africa, with so many activities on offer.

During your stay, prepare for some thrilling excursions. Climb aboard quad bikes for an exhilarating ride across the dunes and set sail on a catamaran cruise in Walvis Bay. Witness the playful seals and majestic pelicans, and, if you are fortunate, catch a glimpse of dolphins while sipping sparkling wine and savoring locally sourced oysters.

Etosha National Park
You’re going to love Etosha National Park, which is one of the best places to see wildlife in all of southern Africa. Watch for lions hunting by the waterholes, and you can’t miss the elephants cloaked in white Etosha dust. Rhinos draw near to the waterholes by the camps after dark, and leopards are also possible here. And don’t forget the scenery: the vast and mesmerizing salt pans that are such a feature of the park are simply stunning.

In the early afternoon, you will take a flight to Etosha with an estimated travel time of two hours and a possible stop along the way. This expansive wildlife haven in Africa, named after its immense salt pan, presents a diverse range of animals, avian life, and varied landscapes, ensuring abundant opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts.
Nestled just a short distance from the park’s central gate, Etosha Safari Lodge offers a strategic location with a view of the mopane woodlands. Enjoy the experience with a full-day game drive by an expert, unveiling the park’s numerous treasures. Subsequently, relax, take a refreshing dip in the pool, and savor the tranquility of the African wilderness beneath a starry sky. Morning game drives commence prior to sunrise, while afternoon game drives usually culminate with a sundowner at a scenic location.
Optional activities like guided walks can be booked at the lodge for an additional cost.

Your last day with us
Your safari concludes today with a morning game drive. Then a flight of approximately two hours travel time, with a possible stop along the way, to Windhoek International Airport. If you wish to extend your stay in Windhoek, an additional night can be arranged at an extra cost.

On your guided game drive in Etosha early this morning, you’ll explore the salt pans, woodlands and waterholes that attract so much wildlife. Elephants caked in Etosha dust and the park’s lions are the top prizes.
